Welcome to my World of Fashion

Hello! My name is Sophia and I am a fashion design major at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Fashion design has always been a part of my life. For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be a fashion design major. When I was little, I would make doll clothes for my dolls out of anything I could get my hands on: tissues, dried baby wipes, old socks from the dryer, etc. When I was about eight my mom taught me how to hand sew and I began practicing a lot by making little pillows or dresses for my dolls and stuffed animals. When I was ten my great aunt for me my first sewing machine (which I still have to this day) and we made a little tote bag together that day. Flash forward to high school, I participated in my high school's student design showcase and the minute my design was on the runway I knew that fashion design is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I cannot wait to share my journey into the industry and make little me's dream come true!
